Hemodialysis clinical decision support
Patient data in.A complete prescription out.
HDscript helps trained dialysis staff, under a nephrologist’s supervision, prepare each hemodialysis session’s prescription from the patient’s own data and history.
Status. HDscript is under development. It is not yet approved or licensed by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and is not offered for general clinical use. Access is by invitation to participating units.
What it does
For each session, HDscript proposes a prescription that fits the patient in front of the team, and tells them when something needs a nephrologist’s attention.
-
Uses the patient’s own data
Fluid status, symptoms since the last session, recent labs, vascular access and the patient’s earlier sessions.
-
The same written rules every time
Every proposal follows documented clinical rules, and those rules are tested before each release.
-
Built-in safety checks
Alerts for fluid, electrolyte, anticoagulation and access-related risks, and a flag for nephrologist review when set criteria are met.
What a proposal covers
Dry weight, ultrafiltration goal and rate, ultrafiltration and sodium profiling, blood flow, dialysate flow, session duration, anticoagulation, dialysate sodium and temperature, and recommendations on selected medicines used in the dialysis unit.
How it works
Dialysis staff enter the session
Weight, symptoms since the previous session and recent results, in a form that asks only what the day needs.
HDscript proposes a prescription
A patient-specific proposal, with the reasoning shown, ready to read on screen or print.
The technician accepts it or records a different value
A different value is recorded with a reason, so the unit keeps a clear account of what was proposed and what was given.
A nephrologist reviews what needs review
The nephrologist may review, change or fix any part of the prescription. Final responsibility rests with the treating nephrologist.
Safety and privacy
- It supports clinical decisions; it does not make them. The treating nephrologist remains responsible for every prescription.
- It does not connect to, or control, the dialysis machine.
- Accounts are by invitation, with separate roles for technicians, centre managers and nephrologists. Staff see only their own unit’s patients, and two-step sign-in is available.
- Each saved session records what was proposed, what was given, who decided, and the software version that produced it.
- This page collects no personal data, sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Who it is for
